15% of Achievement Hunters avoid random-numbered Xbox Gamerscore

A recent poll on Achievement Hunter site TrueAchievements has found that 15% of respondents will avoid random-numbered Gamerscore.

12.6% of that is made up of players who say they’ll avoid games like No Man’s Sky and Overcooked due to Achievements that end in random-numbered Gamerscore, or allocations that don’t end in a multiple of 5. Added to that is 2.4% of those polled, who said they’re careful not to unlock said Achievements when playing.

Finally, a further 32% said they’ll play said games but will endeavour to ‘fix’ their Gamerscore afterward. The results mean roughly half of those polled are conscientious of random-numbered Gamerscore, something I wrote of passionately (read: aggressively) last week.

A total of 3,878 players responded to the poll.

Now, there are other factors to take into consideration here. First, 48.45% of those polled said they don’t mind Gamerscore that doesn’t end in a 0 or 5. The other thing is that this is a poll run on a website dedicated to tracking and earning Gamerscore, to those polled are likely more passionate about Gamerscore than most players.

What do you make of the poll results?
