We’re kicking off the second week of our Stevivor Game of the Year (GOTY) 2025 awards program by honouring the best ongoing game of the year.
This category is one with titans of gaming — titles that not only have stood the test of time in our consoles and PCs, but in our hearts. That’s possible through appropriate content releases, and community engagement.
This year, Stevivor staffers decided that Microsoft’s Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was the best ongoing game of 2025. That’s fairly big, as Flight Sim 2024 launched last year in a less than ideal state. A series of bug fixes has corrected that, as has a new release on PS5.
Coming in second and third, respectively, were Team Asobi’s Astro Bot and IO Interactive’s little assassin that could, Hitman World of Assassination.
Our Game of the Year 2025 awards program keeps on trucking; next up is our award for Best Indie Game of the Year.
