Wargaming E3 2014: Blitz on iOS, World of Tanks update 9.1 now in Europe

Wargaming announced new details on the World of Tanks Update 9.1 and World of Tanks Blitz on iOS.

WoT Update 9.1 is now available in Europe, and will be accessible in Korea on 12 June, Asia on 13 June and North America on 17 June. The update includes balancing options and new content.

“The Siege of Tobruk and Bryansk Front are the two newest legendary tank skirmishes added to Historical Battles along with a new winter map Kharkiv giving players the opportunity to relive even more historical tank encounters,” Wargaming said in a statement. “With the addition of new in-game awards, players can now earn achievements specifically for SPG and Team Battles by completing special feats in World of Tanks.”

Moreover, World of Tanks Blitz was given a release date for iPad 2 or newer and iPhone 4S or newer: 26 June.

“We are thrilled to finally give players a release date for World of Tanks Blitz,” said Andrey Ryabovol, Director of Global Operations at Wargaming. “Following the successful soft launch, we are now putting final touches on the game. We’re really excited about how well World of Tanks Blitz has turned out and can’t wait for players to get their hands on it and engage in tank combat wherever they may go.”

At launch, World of Tanks Blitz will feature over 90 legendary armoured vehicles from USA, Germany and USSR, ranging across four classes: agile light tanks, well-rounded medium tanks, powerful heavy tanks and long-range focused tank destroyers. Players will compete in 7vs7 PvP battles and team up with friends to research and unlock new vehicles, each with unique combat characteristics.
