Rock Band has been the subject of much speculation in the past few weeks. First came a survey from Harmonix asking fans what they’d like in a future game in the series, then came DLC for Rock Band 3 which very much hinted at a franchise return.
Today, Bloomberg is reporting that an unnamed source (who asked to remain anonymous) has revealed that Harmonix is working on a Rock Band for current-gen consoles.
Rock Band’s latest entrant was the downloadable Rock Band Blitz which was designed to be played with a standard controller, rather than the chunky plastic peripherals associated with Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
Rock Band only includes 3 numbered released, Blitz and 3 spin-offs, whereas the Guitar Hero series saw 13 console games released within five years. The last Guitar Hero was Warriors of Rock.
