Just like Bill and Marty of KBBL wanted to give Bart Simpson something stupid, Square Enix want to give Just Cause 3 fans the same chance.
A promotion for the upcoming open world action game tasks players with topping the Chaos Points leaderboard after 90 days once the title is released. The player who manages that feat will be awarded their very own island.
To participate in the contest, players will need to pre-order the day one edition and then register for or log-in to their Square Enix account and link the PSN or Xbox Live account. PC players don’t appear eligible. The contest is open to “residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico), Canada (excluding Quebec), Mexico, and Chile only.”
The winner can opt for a cash prize to the value of the island of $50,000 USD. In the official rules it states, “All taxes and fees associated with purchasing and obtaining of Island (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, escrow, and closing costs) are the responsibility of the Winner. Sponsor does not guarantee the Island to be inhabitable, developed or reachable by any means other than a boat.” Probably best to opt for the cash.
Just Cause 3 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 1 December.
