Patch for The Witcher 3 to fix Xbox One save issues coming ‘as soon as possible’

The Witcher 3 is having some issues on Xbox One, particularly with regards to the standby mode features of the system. While workarounds exist a patch to fix the problem has been delayed, with CD Projekt Red unable to give a timeline for when it will be released. The best we have is a ‘soon as possible’ from the developers on their forums and a ‘not this week’ from Community Manager Marcin Momot on Twitter.

In a game of this scope you certainly don’t want any kind of ambiguity or issues with your save files, so hopefully this issue is addressed soon. Until then follow the advice to close the game down from the Xbox One menu at the end of a session so you don’t lose hours of valuable progress.
