Bravely Second announced as a follow up to Bravely Default on 3DS

It was revealed in Jump magazine (as reported by Siliconera) earlier this week that Brave Default will receive the full sequel treatment with Bravely Second in development for 3DS.

Also reported by Siliconera, Square Enix recently trademarked both Bravely Second and Bravely Third. It’s interesting to note that Bravely Second is a mechanic in Bravely Default and will also serve as the name of the sequel. You can see the announcement in Jump in the image below.

No release date has been announced for Bravely Second, nor is it known if it will make its way outside of Japan. The announcement in Jump did reveal that a character in the game is named Magnolia.

Bravely Default will be available in Australia for 3DS on 7 December.
