Australia’s Mindfreak kicks off the Call of Duty World League Global Pro League this weekend

The first-ever Call of Duty World League Global Pro League is about to begin, and Aussie-based Mindfreak is ready to represent.

Sixteen top CoD teams will duke it out over ten weeks, including Australia’s very own Mindfreak, who take on Team EnVyUs, Splyce and Cloud 9 as part of the first group for Stage 1. That action takes place between 21- 23 April.

The entire event offers up a $1,400,000 USD prize pool over two stages, with placements in the Global Pro League solidifying seeding in the Call of Duty World League Championship. There, another $1,500,000 USD prize pool is up for grabs.

“The competition across the CWL this year has been incredible,” said Activision’s Rob Kostich. “The Global Pro League is bringing together the top teams to battle head-to-head not only for some serious prize money at each stage, but also to claim their spot for the biggest competition of the year, the CWL Champs. The stakes only go up from here.”
