Insomniac closing down mobile title Outernauts

Outernauts is outta here.

Insomniac Games has announced it will be shutting down Outernauts on Android and iOS from early next year.

First appearing in Facebook in 2012, Insomniac ported the title to mobile and has supported it for the past four years. However due to server costs and a dwindling player base Insomniac is no longer able to support the title.

In-app purchases have already been disabled and the drop rate for Star Gems (in-game currency) has been dramatically increased. Players will be able to continue to play until 1 February 2016 at which point the servers will be deactivated and Outernauts will no longer be playable.
