Dogfighting will be featured in Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront will let players pilot X-Wings, Tie Fighters, the Millennium Falcon and much more. Dogfighting will be heavily featured in Battlefront, so strap in and get ready.

DICE is calling them “epic dogfights” and they allow players to join a squadron and duke it out against opposing teams high above the maps of Tattooine, Hoth and more. It’s been confirmed that players will be able to pilot X-Wings, Tie Fighters and the Millennium Falcon, but beyond that the playable ships are unknown.

We’re willing to put money on playable A-, B- and Y-Wings along with Tie Interceptors and Tie Bombers. We’d also be willing to bet that Darth Vader’s Tie Fighter and Boba Fett’s Slave 1 will make their way into the game.

The number of players who are able to participate in dogfighting at any one time wasn’t revealed so at this stage details on the mode are scarce. All we can say is that it exists, which, let’s face it, is good enough for now.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 17 November 2015.
