Latest 3DS firmware update removes exploits, improves stability

The latest 3DS firmware update is live, vaguely boasting of improving stability and, according to Vooks, conveniently removing a host of exploits in the system.

Gone is the ability to play games from a different region and upload Game Boy Color ROMs as well as the more sinister ability to bypass microtransactions in Pokemon Shuffle.

Those who really enjoyed those exploits or just don’t have an appreciation for ‘stability’ can keep the old firmware by keeping the system offline but will be unable to access the eShop until the update is applied.
