Playstation exclusive content announced for Destiny expansion The Dark Below

Bungie and the Playstation Blog have revealed more details on the Playstation first content within their Destiny expansion, “The Dark Below”, due out 9 December. The highlight is an exclusive Strike mission, “The Undying Mind”, sending you back to the Black Garden of Mars to take on an ancient beast even the Vex fear. An Exotic shotgun, “The 4th Horseman” is also part of the Playstation package and it looks positively lethal. You can find the full details here.

While not technically exclusive, the Playstation first content for Destiny will not be available in the Xbox editions of the game for a full year, at least, which in gaming terms may as well be forever. While the changes being made to Destiny sound like improvements, as an Xbox One player I am having a hard time justifying why I should pay the same price as Playstation owners to get a single Strike rather than two. In a game with such a dearth of content as Destiny an exclusive like this is all the more jarring, it is a boon for Playstation owners but I’m sure there will be plenty of Xbox owners like myself feeling a bit slighted by missing out.
