Destiny developer Bungie has spoken to The Guardian, outlining the measures they’re taking to ensure a smooth launch next week.
Chief among these plans is a secret Las Vegas data centre.
“The interesting thing about Las Vegas is, you get a lot of natural disasters walking down up and down the strip, but you don’t get a lot of true natural disasters affecting the landscape,” CEO Pete Parsons said of the facility.
“There are no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no floods – it’s perfect.”
Bungie’s Jonty Barnes also confirmed that a team “well north of 100 engineers” will be supporting the game at launch, covering the PSN and Xbox Live.
Destiny will be available from 9 September on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
