Dark Souls II glitch lets speedrunner complete the game in an hour

The obsession that is Dark Souls II doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, anytime soon. Fans of From Software’s HardPG (patent pending) go nuts for anything Dark Souls related and so for that reason we bring you a video of YouTube user and speedrunner Noobest completing Dark Souls II in just over one hour.

How on earth did he achieve such a feat? Watch the video and find out…or we could give you the basic gist. Noobest uses something called the Shrine of Winter glitch which — in version 1.00 of the game — lets players skip collecting four Great Souls prior to entering Drangleic Castle. Without this quest a huge chunk of the game is removed, which is how Noobest was able to complete the game so quickly. Mind you, this is Dark Souls II so by skipping a huge chunk of the game Noobest wasn’t really making it easier. Watch him in action below.
