Speaking with GamesIndustry International, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said that ZombiU‘s poor performance means that the game doesn’t have a sequel planned, and that its low sales have basically forced the company to release Rayman Legends — once a Wii U exclusive — on multiple platforms.
Rayman Legends‘ multi-platform release on Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 will “ensure the creativity of those games could have a big enough audience,” Guillemot said.
“We hope it will take off,” Guillemot continued, speaking of the Wii U itself. “At the moment, we’ve said, ‘Let’s do through Christmas and see where we are from there.'”
