Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 delayed to 2023

Say it ain't so!

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 has been delayed into 2023, Nintendo has today announced.

That’s likely unsurprising — the title that we’ve listed up there isn’t the game’s official name; we simply don’t know it yet. With so much unknown about the title, it’s understandable while it needs more time in development.

“We previously announced that we were aiming for a 2022 release for this game. However, we have decided to extend our development time a bit and change the release to spring 2023,” said Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma in a new video. That corresponds to the middle of the year for those of us not in the northern hemisphere.

We’ll have more on The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 as it’s made available. The title is planned for Nintendo Switch in mid-2023.
