Ys 8 PS4 PlayStation Plus removal “not planned”: publisher

NIS America is investigating.

A Ys 8 PS4 removal from the PlayStation Plus Extra tier “was not planned,” publisher NIS America has said in a statement.

The PS4 version of Ys 8 Lacrimosa of Dana was removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra tier around the same time that a paid PS5 version went up for sale on the PlayStation Store.

Ys 8: Lacrimosa of DANA not appearing PS Plus Extra was not planned and we are currently looking into the details,” NIS America said in a statement to PushSquare.

“We would not remove any titles from any platform without prior communication through our channels,” the publisher continued.

Sony has recently removed expiry dates from games, then the Last Chance to Play tab within in the PlayStation Plus catalogue, prompting players to do the heavy lifting for themselves. According to eagle-eyed subscribers, titles including Ride 4, the Mafia Trilogy and MXGP 2021 will be departing soon.
