Xbox Showcase to kick off Tokyo Games Show 2020 in September

Update: Microsoft has confirmed that the event will have “no new next-gen news”.

Original story: An Xbox Showcase will kick off Tokyo Game Show 2020 later this month, with other events from Capcom and CD Projekt Red also confirmed.

The Xbox Showcase is currently scheduled for 10.00 pm AEST on Thursday, 24 September, an hour after Tokyo Games Show begins its online offerings. It’s currently unclear what the hour-long event will offer, but most are hoping we’ll get confirmation of the Xbox Series S alongside pricing information.

Moreover, Capcom has confirmed it will show Resident Evil Village (11.00 pm, 25 September) and CD Projekt Red will launch another Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire (3.00 pm, 26 September). A full schedule can be found here.
