Xbox Play Anywhere: Games on both Xbox One and Windows PC

Microsoft is opening up the model seen with Quantum Break to other titles.

Called Xbox Play Anywhere, Gears of War 4 is the next game to support a single, digital, purchase across Windows 10 and Xbox One. Games will share Achievements and saves.

The games will also support cross-play alongside the inherent cross-buy feature.

Cross-platform play of games will also be available, meaning those on a Windows PC version of a game can play with friends who’re on Xbox One, and vice versa.

Games that support Play Anywhere will have the icon seen above.
