Xbox PC app to gather all your game libraries in one place

Huzzah?

Ahead of the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X — and whatever it is planning for next-generation — Microsoft has today announced plans to aggregate your PC gaming library via the Xbox PC app.

The service will roll out to Xbox Insiders in the PC Gaming Preview first, ahead of larger distribution on Windows 11 PCs and the new ROG handhelds.

“When a player installs a game from a supported PC storefront, it will automatically appear in ‘My library’ within the Xbox PC app, as well as the ‘Most recent’ list of titles in the sidebar—making it easier than ever to jump back into your games,” said Microsoft’s Manisha Oza.

“And this is just the beginning,” Oza continued. “We’ll continue rolling out support for additional PC storefronts over time.”

For the moment, “supported” storefronts are unknown, though Microsoft specifically called out “Xbox, Game Pass, [and] Battle.net”. No mention was made of additional services like Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft, EA, or GOG. It should also be noted that aggregators are already available on PC.
