Xbox One Digital TV tuner heading to Europe this October

European Xbox One owners are set to receive an adaptor that will put digital television inside the console’s TV app.

The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner is a USB peripheral that will allow European digital TV to be snapped, paused, and interacted with using OneGuide and Kinect.

If you ask us, that adaptor looks like it could work with Australian digital TV as well. For now, nope. We’re asking Microsoft Australia if there are plans to offer a similar service in the country.

The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain near the end of October.

Update: “Currently, we have only announced the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner coming to the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain beginning in late October,” an Xbox representative has confirmed with Stevivor. “We’ll share more details about our plans for live TV delivery in additional markets over time.”
