Xbox Live: You’ll soon be able to buy games for friends as gifts

Friends will soon be able to gift games to others across Xbox Live, Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra has recently confirmed.

Ybarra took to Twitter to say the feature was “not far”.

The ability to purchase a game and gift it to another is already common place on Valve’s Steam marketplace. It looks like Xbox One owners — and potentially, Windows PC players too — will soon be able to take advantage of the gifting option.

We’ll start sorting our wishlist if any of you readers want to help pad out library.

Are you excited about gifting games over Xbox Live?
