Xbox head Phil Spencer teases 1 vs 100 return to Xbox

Xbox head Phil Spencer has reiterated his desire to see fan-favourite 1 vs 100 return to Xbox, using a recent FanFest livestream to tease plans to bring back a trivia game “from [Microsoft’s] past”.

Spencer’s comments were overheard on stream by VGC (via VG24/7), a result of Spencer filling air after a planned quiz wasn’t able to be run on the stream itself.

“Maybe we should even be building our own trivia game, like from our past, that allows people to play a trivia game more often, maybe that could happen,” Spencer joked.

Back in December of last year, Spencer told Stevivor that Xbox “should do it again,” when discussing the popular live quiz show that debuted on Xbox 360.

“I think that was one of those ideas — and it’s a cliche, almost — that might’ve been a little ahead of its time.”

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about 1 vs 100 — or a quiz show that would work in the same style.
