Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subs can cloud stream owned games

Over 50 titles are available.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now use cloud streaming for digital games they own on Xbox, Microsoft has today (and finally) confirmed.

For now, a total of over 50 titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Stray, The Witcher 3, Balatro, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Animal Well, NBA 2K25, Baldur’s Gate 3 and myriad Final Fantasy games can be streamed, all permissible by their publishers.

if you’re an Ultimate subscriber, look for the Stream your own game section on your Xbox app of choice (including browser).

Not every single game is on offer on the service, of course, and you’ll need to own a digital — decidedly not physical — copy of the game you wish to stream. Regardless, it’s a neat little perk if you’re a subscriber and have access to decent internet.

This announcement follows a new marketing campaign by Microsoft that calls most devices “an Xbox”. It also follows a somewhat disastrous launch day for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, so let’s hope this buys back a little goodwill.
