Xbox Game Pass pre-loading starts with Crackdown 3

Xbox Game Pass pre-loading will be offered for Crackdown 3, Microsoft has confirmed.

“One of the biggest asks we’ve had for [Xbox Game Pass] was to allow pre-load (pre-install) so you can download and be ready the second launch happens,” Xbox Program Management Corporate Vice President, Mike Ybarra, tweeted.

“It’s available now – and starts with Crackdown 3 on Xbox and Windows.”

Microsoft recently announced that we’d finally see Crackdown 3 from 15 February 2019.

Pre-loading of the title will be available ahead of Crackdown 3‘s release, meaning players will be able to play the game as the moment it’s released rather than having to start downloading it at that time.

Good news, eh?

Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft’s Netflix-like subscription program — all new first-party Microsoft titles will be included in the subscription service at their respective launches.
