Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family now available in New Zealand

No word yet on Aussie access.

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan has been made available to six new countries, and gives Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits to groups at discounted pricing. Our friends over in New Zealand now have access to the scheme, though Aussies will have to wait.

New Zealand, Chile, Hungary, Israel, South Africa and Sweden now have access to Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plans, joining those in Colombia and the Republic of Ireland.

Using the plan, groups of players in the same country can band together to pay for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a discounted price. Those players will gain access to Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, xCloud game streaming and EA Play.

In New Zealand, one month of Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family will set you back $39.95 NZD a month, compared to $19.95 NZD for a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. While that may sound a bit expensive, don’t forget that a total of five Xbox accounts can be added to a single Friends and Family plan for that one price. Not bad, eh?

There’s no word yet on when Australia will gain access to the pricing plan, though Microsoft has confirmed that more countries will be added to the list in the “next months”.
