Xbox Australia has a virtual launch event scheduled for 9 November

Xbox Australia and New Zealand will host a virtual launch event for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X from 9.00 pm AEDT on 9 November.

While we’re pretty AEDT-centric in terms of timezones, that event translates to 11.00 pm NZDT the same night — or, more accurately, an hour before New Zealanders can gain access to Microsoft’s new next-gen consoles.

A subsequent tweet from Xbox Australia and New Zealand has confirmed the event is “100% socially-distanced and virtual.” COVID safe FTW, y’all.

It’s unclear what will be happening from the launch of the event, but Xbox fans will likely get a kick of what’s on offer. Have fun if you choose to attend!

The Xbox Series S & X hit store shelves on 10 November.
