Wordament hits iOS, offers you Xbox gamerscore on an Apple device for the first time

This isn’t big news, but it is at the same time. Xbox gamerscore thanks to an Apple device? Who would have thunk it?

Wordament, a charming word finding game (think Boggle) first appeared as an indie title on Windows Phone. In a super-successful year, it was brought on as an official Windows Phone Xbox Live game, then ported over to Windows 8… and now it’s the first gamerscore-enabled game on iOS.

Best yet? Wordament is free, right now, for your iPhone or iPad.

Gamerscore-seeking players can grab up to 50GS by playing on their iOS device, and Wordament‘s cross-play nature means you’ll be playing with “frenemies” on iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 8.

If you haven’t played this game yet, you’re missing out. Go! Go now!
