There won’t be a PlayStation Experience 2018, Sony confirms

PlayStation Experience 2018 will not be taking place, Sony recently confirmed.

Sony’s Shawn Layden made the confirmation over on the PlayStation Blogcast, acknowledging the decision would disappoint many fans. Still, Layden said that 2019 doesn’t feature a lot of PS4 exclusives other than Dreams and Days Gone, and therefore a PlayStation Experience event wouldn’t be worthwhile.

Other PS4 exclusives are in development, including Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2, but clearly Sony isn’t ready to showcase those titles as yet.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blogcast, Layden also spoke of Sony’s recent decision to open up cross-play between the PS4 and Xbox One, Switch and more inside Fortnite.
