Witcher animated movie coming from Legend of Korra studio

Witcher animated movie called The Witcher Nightmare of the Wolf is coming to Netflix, developed by the same time behind The Legend of Korra.

The rumour mill found reference to the film and began reporting immediately, leading Netflix to come out and confirm the project very quickly afterward.

“A new Witcher story is in the works,” the NX on Netflix Twitter account confirmed. “The anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, will take us back to a new threat facing the Continent. Brought to you by the Witcher team [Lauren S. Hissrich] and [Beau DeMayo], and Studio Mir the studio behind Legend of Korra.”

A release window was not specified, but we’ll have more on the film as news becomes available.

The first season of The Witcher, a live-action TV show starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, is currently streaming on Netflix.
