Windows 10: Universal apps bring Excel to Xbox One

Microsoft today confirmed that universal Windows apps will be available on Xbox One via Windows 10.

“With Windows 10, universal Windows apps come to Xbox One,” Terry Myerson of Microsoft’s Windows division said.

Xbox’s Phil Spencer joked that he doubts users will start using Excel in their gaming console, but said that universal all access will open a bunch of possibilities for developers.

Microsoft’s Build program will allow developers to create a single app that will work across all Windows 10 devices, including PCs, tablets, phones and the Xbox One.
