Halo Studios is "sharing more about what we’ve been working on" at Halo World Championship 2025
Halo Studios is ready to share more of what it’s been working on in late October at the Halo World Championship 2025, and that means we may get our first real look at Halo running on Unreal Engine.
“Back in June we let the community know that we’d be continuing the conversation from last year’s HaloWC and the ‘A New Dawn’ video and sharing more about what we’ve been working on,” reads a post on Halo Waypoint. “Like last year we’ll be on the Main Stage to talk about it but this year we’ve also got a ‘deep dive’ panel planned for the Community Stage that you won’t want to miss.”
The special segment will livestream from the Halo World Championship 2025 main stage on 25 October here in Australia.
While we don’t know what will be on display, it’s likely that we’ll be seeing more of Halo on Unreal Engine 5, as that’s what was used for the “A New Dawn” video detailed in the blog post. As part of the same announcement, Halo Studios said it was working on multiple new Halo titles.
For those spectating the Halo World Championship, there will also be panels featuring Steve Downes and Jen Taylor, the voices of Master Chief and Cortana, alongside “panels to celebrate anniversaries of Halo: Reach and Halo 5: Guardians, Canon Fodder Live, Cosplay Contest judging,” and more.
We’ll report back as more is known.
