Warcraft 1 Remastered, Warcraft 2 Remastered now available

Surprise!

Warcraft 1 Remastered and Warcraft 2 Remastered were today announced as surprise drops from Activision Blizzard, and are both available on PC via Battle.net.

“Journey back to the beginning of a 30-year legacy with the first Warcraft story created in 1994, now remastered with vivid, all-new visuals and modernized controls,” Activision Blizzard said as part of the announcement.

The two titles are available as separate purchases — Warcraft 1 Remastered will set you back $13.99 AUD, while Warcraft 2 Remastered is priced at $22.45 AUD. A third option bundles the two new remasters with 2019’s much-criticised Warcraft 3 Reforged for $59.95 AUD.

These Warcraft announcements were only the tip of the iceberg this morning. Activision Blizzard also announced that World of Warcraft Classic Mists of Pandaria will be available in 2025, and that the next World of Warcraft expansion is titled Midnight.

Additionally, those who were asking for Warcraft Rumble on PC don’t have to wait much longer — a PC beta starts on 10 December.
