Valve’s next game, Artifact, to offer a beta in October

Valve’s next game, Artifact, will offer a beta in October, the publisher today confirmed.

Artifact isn’t the Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 that people are desperately wanting; instead, it’s a card game that is set in the Dota 2 universe.

Available in October, those who attend The Invitational 2018 or the game’s gameplay reveal panel PAX West will receive a code that provides access to the beta. It’s unclear if there are other ways to access the beta, or if a proper open beta will be offered.

Artifact heads to Windows PC via Steam on 28 November. Versions on Android and iOS will follow in 2019.
