Until Dawn trailer looks like a cross between Groundhog Day and Dead by Daylight

It sure looks interesting.

The first full Until Dawn feature film trailer has been released, and looks like a cross between Groundhog DayDead by Daylight, and naturally, Until Dawn itself.

The film — which will feature different protagonists and a different narrative than Supermassive’s cult hit — seems to borrow Until Dawn‘s two antagonists. Beyond that, it employs a time-rewind loop that means our survivors will be forced to band together and survive one night over multiple loops.

From what the trailer shows, they’re not that successful in it.

“One year after her sister Melanie mysteriously disappeared, Clover and her friends head into the remote valley where she vanished in search of answers,” reads a description attached to the trailer.

“Exploring an abandoned visitor center, they find themselves stalked by a masked killer and horrifically murdered one by one…only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening,” it continues. “Trapped in the valley, they’re forced to relive the nightmare again and again – only each time the killer threat is different, each more terrifying than the last. Hope dwindling, the group soon realizes they have a limited number of deaths left, and the only way to escape is to survive until dawn.”

Expect Until Dawn in cinemas from 25 April 2025.
