Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection, Journey free on PS4

Both Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey will be free on PS4 as part of a new PlayStation initiative called Play at Home.

Combating the coronavirus and encouraging players to remain at home in self-isolation, the titles will be free between 9.00 am AEST on 16 April to 9.00 am AEST on 6 May here in Australia.

“During these days of physical distancing, fans have turned to gaming for moments of respite and enjoyment. At Sony Interactive Entertainment, we are privileged to bring this much-needed entertainment. We know this is just one small step and we are thankful to be able to offer this support to our players, our communities, and our partners,” Sony’s Jim Ryan said in a blog post.

The news comes as Sony has announced it will also donate $10 million USD to support indie developers “vital to the heart and soul of the gaming community.”

We reviewed Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection here and Journey right here; the latter is due for a Windows PC via Steam release in June. In both China and Germany, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be replaced with Knack 2 (ouch!) instead.
