Uncharted movie loses director but will still star Tom Holland

The oft-beleagured Uncharted movie has encountered another setback with the loss of its latest director.

Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane, Black Mirror) was the fifth director attached to the motion picture, and the fifth to leave, a new report from Deadline suggests. The same report says actor Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) is still locked in as playing protagonist Nathan Drake.

Trachtenberg’s departure is more bad news for Sony, and again involving Tom Holland — earlier in the week, it was reported that Holland’s character of Spider-Man would no longer feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after negociations between Sony and Marvel/Disney fell through.

We’ll have more on the Uncharted feature film as it becomes available. While we wait, do you ever think we’re actually going to see this movie hit theatres?
