Ubisoft’s Guillemot: DLC drives “players’ engagement”, huge DLC plans inbound for Rainbox Six: Siege

During a recent financials call, Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot spoke of his company’s DLC strategy.

Asserting that DLC is responsible for “driving players’ engagement in console and PC games,” Guillemot said that Assassin’s Creed: Unity‘s “Season Pass” was an incredibly strong seller before issues forced the publisher to release its content for free.

Guillemot said that Ubisoft has an aggressive strategy for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege as well, promising the game will “continue to live for a long time” thanks to regularly released DLC.

Guillemot didn’t specify if Siege‘s DLC would be free, paid or a mix of both.
