Ubisoft ends support on Watch Dogs Legion

We hardly knew ye.

Ubisoft has ended support on Watch Dogs Legion, just a little over a year from when the title was first released.

Taking to the Watch Dogs website, Ubisoft confirmed that Title Update 5.6 was the game’s last.

“TU 5.6 was our final update for Watch Dogs: Legion,” the post read. “However, you can look forward to reward tracks in the Online Mode, containing both new and returning rewards. The current season 4 Rebels track, containing 80 ranks, will run until January 22, 2022, followed by Season 5 Stripes.

After that, Seasons 3-5 will continue to cycle and return to the game, giving you the opportunity to acquire rewards you might have missed out on in the past. Some rewards to look forward to is a modified version of Aiden Pearce’s jacket, and Jackson’s mask and clothing set.”

Released in October 2020, we gave it a 6/10 in our review.

There’s some fun to be had in Watch Dogs Legion, but it becomes so repetitive that by the end of the game everything feels like a chore — one I was desperately wanting to be over hours before its credits rolled,” Luke said at the time.

DLC with original Watch Dogs protagonist Aidan Pierce followed thanks to Bloodline DLC released in 2021. With more focus to proceedings, I awarded the content a 7/10 in another review.

“We’re locked in the shoes of Pearce alongside Legion fan-favorite Wrench,” I wrote, explaining the situation. “It’s rather strange when you think about it, as this signifies a move away from what made Legion unique and instead heads toward Watch Dogs proper. The result is a mixed bag, with many of Luke’s criticisms of the base game still applying to this new offering.”

Watch Dogs Legion is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
