Ubisoft celebrates Anno’s 20th anniversary

Ubisoft will celebrate the Anno franchise’s 20th anniversary with free access to one of its older games alongside potential beta access to an upcoming one.

First, Anno 1602: Creation of a New World will be available for free from today until 22 December on Windows PC via Uplay.

Anno 1602: Creation of a New World was originally released in 1998 and was the first game to be released in the long-running franchise.

Moreover, Ubisoft also announced beta registration for Anno 1800. Interested parties can register for the closed beta here; the beta itself runs between 31 January and 4 February 2019.

Happy anniversary, Anno!

Anno 1800 heads to Windows PC on 26 February 2019.
