Ubisoft cancels Ghost Recon Frontline, Splinter Cell VR, more

Ubisoft has cancelled a number of titles including Ghost Recon Frontline, Splinter Cell VR and two other titles that were not fully detailed.

Frontline was perhaps the most controversial of the titles, a battle royale game set in the Ghost Recon universe.

At its announcement, fans didn’t seem impressed with the title; some went as far as to call it “unwanted”.

Speaking with investors, Ubisoft CFO Frederick Duguet said that the cancellation of the four titles was made to put “even more focus on our biggest development opportunities.”

Ubisoft also announced that it had delayed Avatar Frontiers of Pandora out if 2022.
