Two new Netflix Resident Evil teasers paint a gruesome picture

Interesting!

Two new Netflix Resident Evil teaser trailers are helping to give viewers an idea of what to expect from the new series when it debuts in July.

The first trailer was readily made available on the internet and starts off with the Weskers in New Raccoon City, South Africa circa 2022.

It quickly gets dark from there, showing Albert Wesker experimenting on lab rats seemingly using DNA from his daughters Billie and Jade. Then, we jump to London, UK in 2036, seeing that everything has turned to shit.

Check out that first trailer below.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a link to UmbrellaIsJoy.com as part of the trailer above, and lo and behold, navigating to it not only brings up a mock Umbrella website but a second trailer as well.

The second trailer focuses on Umbrella’s Joy, a miracle pill that’s said to cure OCD and depression. At its heart is the T-Virus, the agent that creates zombies, lickers and zombie dogs… which also all appear in the trailer alongside a giant worm-thing.

You can take a look at that trailer below.

Destiny‘s Lance Reddick will start as Albert Wesker alongside Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Tamara Smart (The Worst Witch), Siena Agudong (No Good Nick), Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Paola Nuñez (Bad Boys for Life).

Viewers can expect the Netflix Resident Evil series from 14 July.
