Two new family-friendly Sony titles arrive just in time for the holidays

Family-friendly gaming. Whilst not my cup of tea, it might be yours… by necessity or by choice. In either case, Sony’s just made us aware of two new titles that’ll fill that void quite nicely.

Smart As… is a new brain-training game that “challenges players to test their brain power with 20 unique puzzle games that utilise the PS Vita’s touch screens, front and rear facing cameras and augmented reality capabilities. Players can enjoy Daily Training challenges including Logic, Arithmetic, Language and Observation based exercises to work all of the major lobes of the brain and calculate players’ Brain Power scores.”

You’ll also have the ability to compare your results with friends via the PlayStation Network.

Sony’s also released the Move-required Sports Champions 2. This newest sport-motion game includes golf, bowling, boxing, skiing and tennis an updated archery mode.

Are either of these titles filling your stockings this Christmas?

Steve Wright

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
