Twitch, Sony Foundation partner to fundraise for You Can later this week

Twitch and the Sony Foundation have partnered to stream in support of Sony’s You Can youth cancer program.

The 30-hour stream begins 29 April and will feature Twitch streamer like Bajo, Deligracy and Loserfruit.

Those viewing and, more importantly, donating have the opportunity to win a voicemail message from Uncharted’s Nolan North. Other prizes on offer include:

  • PlayStation 4® 20th Anniversary console
  • Sony 65″ 4K HDR Android TV
  • Sony Xperia XZ Smartphone
  • PlayStation®VR
  • PlayStation®4 500GB
  • PlayStation®4 Pro 1TB
  • DualShock®4 controller
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • The Last Guardian
  • For Honor
  • Rainbow 6 Siege
  • Merchandise including exclusive t-shirt designs by Guerilla Games and Media Molecule

Twitch’s 6t4bites will host the livestream.

The You Can program is dedicated to the construction of specialised youth cancer centres around Australia, targeted at patients between 15-25 years old. This year’s River4Ward event will also fund Sony Foundation’s virtual You Can Centre, known as The You Can Network. According to Sony, the online platform “will enable young patients, their families and friends to connect with those going through similar issues regardless of their proximity to a physical You Can Centre.”

Earlier in the month, the Sony Foundation raised a whopping $640,000 AUD in Melbourne for You Can.
