Treyarch is developing this year’s Call of Duty game

The next Call of Duty game is being developed by Treyarch, Activision Blizzard today confirmed during a fourth quarter financials call.

While Activision “can’t wait to share more” about the title, that’s all we know so far.

Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty game was 2015’s Call of Duty: Black Ops IIIWe gave the title an 8/10 in our review. Of late, Treyarch has also developed Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012), Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and assisted with ports of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Treyarch’s involvement with the next Call of Duty title was expected; the studio is in a three-year development cycle with fellow Call of Duty development studios Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward.

Do you think we’re getting Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 this year?
