Today’s big Borderlands 3 thing just a wacky co-op trailer

Today’s big Borderlands 3 “Celebration of Togetherness” thing was just a crazy co-op trailer.

The trailer was hyped up ahead of time by Gearbox — leading fans to hope today would lead to an official announcement of cross-play — add revolved around a psychadelic trip intending to show the benefits of looting with a friend set to the tune “Happy Together”. You can check it out below (and remember: as the trailer specifies, it’s not actual gameplay).

Cool, I guess? Like us, were you hoping from a little more coming from all of the hype?

Developed by Gearbox and published by 2K Games, Borderlands 3 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 13 September.
