Three Resident Evil Switch games now have release dates

Three Resident Evil Switch games — 0, 1 and 4 — finally have release dates, four months after being announced for the platform.

Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 will head to Nintendo Switch on 21 May. Pre-orders will be available on the Nintendo eShop from 28 February.

Rather comically, Capcom announced the release dates by promotion the portable nature of the Switch itself, telling fans they’ll be able to “play all three masterpieces anywhere, such as: on trains, during mansion tours [and] across the European countryside.”

Fans don’t have a lot of love for Resident Evil 0, but it does have an interesting zapping mechanic that lets you swap between two protagonists and manage your inventory by dropping items to the floor. Resident Evil isn’t the original 1996 game but the 2002 GameCube remake, while Resident Evil 4 frequently tops ‘best of’ game lists.

Will you be adding any of the games to your library (again)?
