The Xbox One will allow you play games as they install

Negating a potential difference between next-gen consoles, a Microsoft representative recently confirmed with Polygon that the Xbox One will allow users to play games as they’re being downloaded.

It was unclear if the functionality would remain in the Xbox One as it was previously tied to disc-based game installation. Microsoft’s confirmation asserts that it’ll work on disc-based games and digital downloads.

Sony recently confirmed the same functionality in the PS4.
