The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, 9 other Xbox 360 titles now work with Xbox One backwards compatibility

Ten more Xbox 360 titles have made the jump to Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility.

The list, anchored by The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, it a bit hit-and-miss, with some great titles and some fairly obscure ones.

Here’s what’s been added:

  • Aegis Wing
  • Age of Booty
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Skullgirls
  • Small Arms
  • Soulcalibur
  • Space Giraffe
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Moreover, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is free to those in the United States… which doesn’t help Australians, unless you’ve got a VPN US-based account. Just sayin’. You can snag it for free until 5 February.

Microsoft also confirmed that rather than batches of games being made available for backwards compatibility, individual titles will be released as soon as they’re ready.

Update: Aussies can now grab The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for free as well.
