The Wii U’s 5.3 update adds amiibo support

Nintendo’s rolling out a new Wii U that adds amiibo support ahead of the figures’ release.

The update, version 5.3.0, adds an amiibo Settings area under System Settings, which lets you register, delete or reset amiibo settings.

Nintendo’s amiibos will be available in Australia from 29 November.
